Why Thermal Imaging...

Carol Portrait 80xThumbMedical Thermal Imaging & Women's Healthcare.

The rapidly growing problem of breast cancer has had a profound effect on people, as friends and loved ones are touched with this unforgiving disease. Traditionally, most cases occur in women over fifty years of age, but the greatest increase in incidence has been in younger women. HD-Clinical Thermal Imaging, can be used by women considered too young for traditional mammography, as well as by all concerned about the harmful effects of radiation.

The usefulness of mammography as a stand-alone method of detecting breast cancer has been decreasing over time, as larger numbers of women are entering groups of lower sensitivity to X-ray. Women with dense breasts, fibrocystic disease, implants, as well as those who use Hormone Replacement Therapy, have diminished the sensitivity and effectiveness of mammography.  This can never be the case, with safe, High Definition Clinical Thermography.

Mammography has also been implicated as a potent factor in the dramatic rise in breast cancer. Numerous studies in recent years have now established the effects of DNA damage caused by low-dose radiation consistently used in mammography. The fact that exposure and damage are cumulative means that each exposure increases the risk of the initiation of cancer. One study reveals a probable 5% increase of risk with each exposure!   Some new digital mammography can reduce the exposure to radiation by as much as 50%... but again, there is no safe level, and exposure and damage is cumulative.

Dr. Ben Johnson's "Mammograms are not good Screening Devices"

In addition to mammography, there are other factors that raise risk...The use of oral contraceptives for more than four years prior to first full term pregnancy, or extended use of Hormone Replacement Therapy, make breast cells more sensitive to carcinogens and toxins that we are exposed to everyday. Environmental factors are also a major cause of carcinogens that affect the breasts. Studies show that migrants from countries with low rates of breast cancer, when relocated to countries of high incidences, have their rates increase to match the higher incidence rate.

What all this means, is that our lifestyles put us a risk... Our society and lifestyles have changed dramatically over the last 30 years, and we must be flexible to change to the needs of our culture. Diagnosing breast cancer early is of critical importance to surviving the disease.  The survival rate of stage one disease is approximately 91%, while survival of stage three drops to approximately 40%.

For those who are dedicated to the protection of women's health, the demand is to provide the most effective combination of diagnostic methods, and to develop every method with demonstrated potential...  High Definition Digital Infrared Imaging, or Thermography, has demonstrated its potential, and is now taking its place alongside conventional modalities.

Northern Arizona Thermal Imaging offers the benefits of safe screening without the risk of radiation using the highest quality HD Thermal Imaging technology available today... earlier detection will make the difference! If your doctor does not understand the benefits of the advanced technology of thermography, it is available without a prescription.

  • Medical Thermography has been accepted as an early detection tool in the fight against breast disease and many other conditions.
  • Infrared Thermal Imaging was the first technology to be certified by the FDA for breast disease screening in 1982.
  • Mammography was approved several years later by the FDA in 1989.

You can now be proactive and take advantage of this advanced, safe, painless & proven screening technique, here in the Verde, Yavapi & Coconino Counties; with offices in Cottonwood, Prescott & Flagstaff.
